Internships 2016: March, 2016; In March, the Faculty of Computer Science, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University launches the internships for IT students. The organization of these internships will be done together with the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, as part of the Program Stagii pe Bune.

FII Practic: March 1st – May 2016; The 4th edition of FII-Practic, jointly organised by ASII (Asociatia Studenților Informaticieni din Iași) in collaboration with FCS (FII – Faculty of Computer Science of Iași), offers students and high school pupils the possibility to participate in 6 different trainings in hot areas like Graphic Design, Web – Front-end / Back-end Development, Android Development, iOS Development, Game Development, Entrepreneurial Management, Business Analysis or AngularJS.

The Caravan FII Admis: April 2016; High school pupils from the region of Moldova will learn what is a career in IT and how can it be started in Iasi with the Faculty of Computer Science. Groups of FII members and IT companies representatives will travel to various high-schools in Moldavian counties in order to meet with pupils live, present to them and discuss with them why, how, when they can start their IT career in Iasi.

ECODAM SummerSchool: June 18-24, 2016; ECODAM summer school is an international event dedicated to doctoral students in Computer Science or related fields, and for Master students with research perspectives. Each year, starting 2006, distinguished professors from three continents come for one week in Iasi to give lectures and conduct workshops. ConsILR: September 24th-26th, 2016; The International Conference on Linguistic Resources and Tools for Processing the Romanian Language, jointly organised by the Faculty of Computer Science (UAIC-FII), and the Romanian Academy through the Institute for Artificial Intelligence "Mihai Drăgănescu" (AR-ICIA), Bucharest along with the Institute of Computer Science Iasi (AR-IIT), is targeted to all researches, as well as students at all levels, interested about the domain of Language Technologies with a special accent on the Romanian language. The domain is vital in solving the problem of the still existing online language barriers and it is addressed in Horizon 2020 (ITC 17) and Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programs.

RoCHI: September 8th-9th, 2016; Original contributions are welcomed in the following areas: HCI for mobile devices, web interfaces, intelligent user interfaces, virtual / augmented / mixed reality, multimodal user interfaces (multimedia, vocal, gestures), natural language, contextual approaches in HCI (activity theory, CSCL, CSCW), social aspects in HCI, model-based approaches, design tools, evaluation of interactive systems (user experience, usability, accessibility), quality of interactive systems, predictive models, education in HCI, interactive applications.

ecoMEDIA: November - December, 2016; The International conference on the ecoMEDIA Network have been a primary conduit for the dissemination and discussion of scholarship on digital learning issues related to education since the first conference in Wolfsberg, Austria in 2006. The 2016 conference organisers welcome researchers and teachers at all stages of their careers to the 11th International ecoMEDIA conference, held in Iasi, Romania.

Consortiu Universitaria: May, 2016; The aim of the Consortium is the cooperation of the partner universities to raise the level of scientific and educational activities, in order to recognize their prestige at a national and international level and to classify them in the category of universities of reference in Europe, initiating the improvement of the legal framework of the university teaching process and of the university scientific research, as well as the unitary defining of the university curriculum and the minimum standard for it and the titles and qualifications earned after graduation.
